NAME: Shaney jo Darden

After a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, designer and artist Shaney jo Darden founded the global non-profit organization The Keep A Breast Foundation (KAB) to raise awareness of breast cancer and to encourage prevention and early detection among young people. Now, as KAB celebrates its 15th anniversary, Shaney jo is a leading voice and philanthropy expert in the cultural conversation about breast cancer. Over the years she has received many awards for her innovative fusion of advocacy, art, lifestyle-brand partnerships and street culture, and in the process has generated substantial funds for Keep A Breast via donations, partnerships, and licensing.
NAME: Lorene Carpentier
TITLE: Global CEO
A native of France, Lorène Carpentier has traveled the world as a nurse and a photographer focused on causes related to social justice like modern slavery in Haiti and Mauritania. In 2006, she befriended beloved surf icon and breast cancer survivor Robin Zeuf Hesson in California, and developed a deep connection with her. Inspired, the following year Lorène became involved with The Keep A Breast Foundation, and worked diligently to develop the organization in Europe. Lorène was named Global CEO of the non-profit in January 2014, and remains committed to educating youth about breast cancer, prevention and early detection.

Monica Schrock is a passionate non-toxic lifer and writes about her experiences on her blog, Low Impact Betty. NAME: James Narron

Senior Vice President and National Cash Product Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, James Narron holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Rockhurst University and a master’s degree in international business studies from the University of South Carolina. Jim joined the Keep A Breast Board of Directors in December 2014. He is a two-time national qualifier in the XTERRA off-road triathlon series. He is also the former Vice-Chair of the Maura Clarke-Ita Ford Center in Brooklyn, an organization that equips immigrant women with the skills they need to thrive in the United States.
NAME: Mona Mukherjea-Gehrig

After relocating to California in 1994, Berlin native Mukherjea-Gehrig co-founded the global non-profit The Keep A Breast Foundation and the art organization Modart. She has spent the last 15 years creating and designing concepts which have resulted in internationally recognized artistic experiences and high-quality event productions. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, Mona has embraced her new journey in life as a survivor; a mother of two and active in her community, she has recently completed a degree in Interior Design and both initiated and directed the first German Film Festival in San Diego.

For the past 18 years, Melody Badgett has been building businesses of all sizes. She’s acted as CMO and COO of a startup sportswear and fundraising company that grew ten-fold, consulted for Deloitte Consulting and IBM with clients such as Target, Ahold, Galeries Lafayette and Neiman Marcus, and helped build an Internet consulting company in the dot-com heyday. In 2007 Melody joined 1% for the Planet, inspired by the way the company partners with businesses to promote environmental change. Since then the organization has grown from 400 to 1300 companies, on its way to becoming one of the biggest funders of environmental work in the world. She’s currently lending her expertise to Keep A Breast’s innovative program Non-Toxic Revolution.
NAME: Pierre Camoin
TITLE: Board Of Directors Treasurer, Chairman of International Committee
In the late 80s, Pierre Camoin started his professional career organizing Short Brain and Festival Attitude; two skate, music and art events in Montpellier, France. In 2009 he co-founded the Big Wave World Tour, part of the World Surf League, an annual global big wave surf event. It was in California that he met Keep A Breast’s (KAB) Global CEO Lorène Carpentier and Founder Shaney jo Darden; inspired by their energy and commitment, he started participating in KAB’s local events. A husband, surfer, hiker and outdoor enthusiast, he strongly believes that education and early prevention are an integral part of the solution to breast cancer. Currently Pierre is a marketing executive at the FSP Group BV / Eastward Sports -- the manufacturer and distributor of multiple freestyle scooter brands.
